爱马仕丝巾不是一片片平平滑滑的丝绸,而是有细直纹的丝布,它是把丝线梳好上轴再编织而成,特点是不易起褶皱.有时,为了使丝巾更具特色,会再编织过程中加上暗花图案,如蜂蜜、马等.
调色师按照设计师的标志,挑选合适的颜料,每种颜色必须用一个特制的钢架,运用丝网印刷原理,把颜色均匀的逐一扫在丝贴上.每一方丝巾需扫上多少种颜料,这要根据设计图的要求而定,一般是12m36种,最高纪录达到37种.
色泽决定以后,便开始印刷,然后再裁成90厘米见方的丝巾.固定色彩也是一项繁琐的工作,必须经过漂、蒸及晾等程序,色彩才不会脱落.最后,有工艺部以人手卷缝黹口,折好边后,一方飘逸出众的丝巾,才算完成.
丝网印刷的工序,本可用电脑代替,但爱马仕却坚持手工上色.卷边也不用缝纫机,而是手工缝制,它的理论是:一幅完美的图画,最重要的事有一个相对的画框将它固定下来,才叫完美,丝贴的边缘一旦平伏,图案仿佛就流泻了,失真了.可见爱马仕对细节非常执着.它也是凭着这种细节,赢得了人心.

市场低迷,不少奢侈品公司遭遇前所未有的困境.法国巴黎春天集团(PPR)2008年三季度销售额同比下降了12%,瑞士历峰集团(Richemond)2008年四季度销售额同比下降7%,而拥有国际著名时装品牌费雷(GianfrancoFerre)、范思哲(Versace(化妆品,手袋))的意大利时尚业巨头ITHolding集团甚至在2月初发出警告称,该集团可能被迫申请破产保护.
相比之下,LVMH的日子确实好过不少.而如果扣除汇率影响,LVMH集团的实际销售成绩还会更好一些.2008年,美元、日元对欧元均大幅贬值,而美国、日本在LVMH的销售收入中占据超过30%份额.LVMH表示,若扣除汇兑影响,集团2008年的销售收入和营业利润的增幅将分别达到8%与6%.
但LVMH集团的增长已呈下滑态势.其下半年的销售收入已从上半年5.2%的增幅降至3.6%,11.4亿欧元的净利润也较去年同期缩水了0.5亿欧元.

现在LVMH集团已拥有超过50个品牌的产品,分别归属于葡萄酒与烈酒、时装与皮革制品、香水与化妆品、钟表与珠宝、精品零售5大领域.
朱明侠介绍如此丰富的产品线,给管理带来更大的调配空间,从而保证销售收入和利润的稳定.
年报显示,在LVMH集团5个类别的产品中,占据集团销售近20%比例的葡萄酒与烈酒的收入下降了3.1%,但因其他4个类别都取得超过5%的销售增长,使得集团的总销售仍然增长了4.3%.
在营业利润的调配方面也是如此.虽然钟表与珠宝、精品零售两项业务在2008年的营业利润分别下降了16.3%与8.9%,但其因在集团整个利润表中所占比重不大,从而避免了集团整体利润的下滑.
在LVMH集团5项业务类别中,拥有LV、芬迪、纪梵希等品牌的时装与皮革制品是2008年的最大亮点.报告显示,占据集团销售1/3强的时装与皮革制品2008年的销售与营业利润分别增长了6.7%与5.4%,其中,LVMH旗下最知名的品牌LV的销售增长甚至达到了两位数.
"我们首先把资源放在那些最能产生利润的品牌和市场上."LVMH集团常务董事Antonio Belloni如是表示.2008年12月,LV放弃了在日本开设全球旗舰店的计划,而LVMH2008年在日本的销售是下滑的;2009年1月份,LVMH裁减了瑞士ZENITH钟表厂10%的员工,因为2008年钟表业务利润下滑.

据世界奢侈品协会北京代表处首席代表欧阳坤介绍,根据该协会预计,2010年中国奢侈品消费总额将达到2000亿元人民币;而到2015年时,中国奢侈品消费将占全球市场份额的32%.Bain&Company的报告也预计未来5年中国奢侈品市场能达到20%~35%的年增幅.
LVMH显然正在分享这一增长盛宴.
2008年,中国成为LVMH集团酒类品种的第二大市场,更是第一次成为其旗下旗舰品牌轩尼诗(Hennssy)在全球的最大市场;同时,LVMH集团中最据知名度的LV品牌,在中国市场的销售额也已位居全球第二.
"数年进入中国市场的经验和积累使得LVMH旗下各部门都有品牌在华享有高知名度和美誉度,尤其是中国庞大的潜在消费群会在今后成为LVMH的忠实顾客."朱明侠向记者介绍.
2009年1月16日LV落户山西太原;2月1日,LV全球总裁贾世杰为天津第一家LV品牌店揭幕.在全球经济不景气的大环境下,LVMH集团对中国奢侈品市场的前景充满信心.
而同时,LVMH在中国已经不仅仅满足于销售现有产品,也开始注重以中国国情为基础开发符合中国文化的新产品.一个例证表示是轩尼诗对于文君酒业的收购.2007年5月,轩尼诗出资9600万元人民币,控股收购了剑南春旗下的文君酒厂,chi flat iron成为LVMH进驻中国传统奢侈品行业的第一步.
